Jon brings extensive, senior energy experience to BFY Carbon Strategies, with a career spanning Generation, Renewables, Trading, and Retail across the UK and international markets. As Commercial Director, he specialises in energy risk management and is passionate about sustainability and supporting the global energy transition.

Previously a member of the Executive Committee at a major energy company, Jon has led teams across Europe and since 2017 has worked as a consultant, advising energy businesses worldwide on risk management, market entry, and growth strategies. His work has focused particularly on renewables, energy efficiency, and carbon reduction.

A Chartered Electrical Engineer, Jon has also completed executive education in Sustainable Finance at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, further reinforcing his expertise in the low-carbon economy.

Outside of work, Jon is an active musician. He plays in several bands, runs a small record label, and promotes live arts events in his hometown of Malmesbury.
